When we first encountered this old building, it was like meeting an elder. Beneath the signs of aging, we saw the enduring grace and beauty of its past.

This 1861 Victorian villa, though not listed, has suffered various unsympathetic modifications over the years. Our project focuses on the lower level of this subdivided house and its surrounding garden sheds.

Our goal is to revive and showcase the original brilliance of this grand old home. We will remove poorly executed extensions and internal alterations, restoring the welcoming aura of the front entrance. A new private entrance on the east gable will be created via a raised plinth. The design features two contrasting roof forms that appear to slide past each other, symbolizing the passage of time through movement
